The Hay Creek Festival is 50 years old!!!!  Wow …. It is hard to believe it. The Hay Creek Valley Historical Association is about to host its community event. This will be the 50th time. A lot has changed over the years. The festival still offers a true American history experience. Volunteer historians share their passion and keep the crafts and trades of yesteryear alive.   Plus, festival goers come to our festival to eat. Our festival has a big menu of tasty homemade foods. It includes Mabel Sparr’s kettle-cooked soups. For those of you who never met Mabel, she was a true staple in our community. She cooked thousands of gallons of soup. She cooked for family gatherings, the Morgantown Carnival, Harmony Church events, and our festival.

The 2026 festival will be a crowd pleaser. It will mix our traditional activities with new crafts, exhibits, and demonstrations. This includes hosting a Big Band Swing Dance on Saturday, evening, September 12th.   Check out the concert details at www.haycreek.org.
